Swedish Heritage Society Announcement:
Swedish Midsummer

SATURDAY, JUNE 20
INTERNATIONAL PEACE GARDENS
1060 S 900 W, SLC
located in the northwest corner of Jordan Park

4:00 pm Bring fresh flowers and foliage (birch
preferably) to help decorate the May pole
5:00 pm Pole raising – Långdans
5:45 pm Program, Games for the children
6:30 pm Dinner – catered by “A Viking’s Feast” – Adults: $10.00, 10 & under: $7.00

Swedish Heritage will, as a fund raiser, be selling Swedish candy, Marabou chocolate (several varieties like mint, dark), Swedish cheeses (präst- , herrgård-, & hushållsost), Felix lingon berries, hjortron-& blåbärssylt (cloud berry & blueberry jam), saft (a drink concentrate), pear soda, Kalles kaviar, sill (pickled herring), knäckebröd (crisp bread), skorpor (dry biscuits), blåbärs- & nyponsoppa, vaniljsås (vanilla sauce mix), baked goods, books in Swedish and English, necklaces, CD’s, maps of Sweden, Sverigedräkten (folk costume in cotton), fun T-shirts, dalahästar, and TONS of other fun stuff at FANTASTIC prices. The store opens at 3.30 PM!!
We will have these additional items in the store at midsummer:
Swedish style liver pate (great for sandwiches), Swedish style hotdogs,

Bring a cooler for your heat sensitive goods!
We’ll have extra coolers for storage during the event, if needed!

We’ll have plenty of cold drinks for sale!

BRING FAMILY AND FRIENDS!!

(By the playground — look for the Swedish flag)
Welcome spring as we sing traditional songs around the bonfire!
Come hungry aswe’ll sell Swedish style hotdogs, masked potatoes and Swedish desserts (semlor, princesstårta, vaniljbullar, biskiver, småländsk ostkaka) at great prices.

If you can’t stay and enjoy the food and great company, you’re still welcome to come and shop.
Our “Swedish Store” will be open from 5:30-6 PM and again
from 7PM until closing.
We’ll be stocked with cheeses and many other items.

Limpa bread will be available. Please call 801-266-2693 if you would like us to hold limpa bread, or anything else, for you.

Remember to dress warm if it’s cold!

Admission:

MEMBERS: (You need your membership card to get the member price).

Adult: $3

Child: $2 (4-15)

 

NON-MEMBERS:  (If you join SHS, you get the member price).

   Adult: $5

Child: $4 (4-15)

 

Come hungry and enjoy dinner catered by “A Viking’s Feast”. 

MEMBERS:  Adult: $8.50 – Children: $6 (10 and under)

NON-MEMBERS:  Adult: $9.50 – Children: $7 (10 and under

Dinner will be served in the Cafeteria.

 

See Lucia and her Starboys and get in the spirit of Christmas! Enjoy the wonderful entertainment.  (Arrive early; the doors will be closed during the Lucia procession.)  Dance your socks off.  Visit with Santa and shop till you drop.  There will also be face painting and other fun activities for the children in the gym.

Come Prepared to buy your Christmas gifts! The “Swedish Store” will be filled with many NEW items. 

We are stocked with Swedish Cheeses (Farmer’s cheese, Prästost,  Herrgårdsost, Västerbotten, Havarti, etc.), Kalles Kaviar ($3), Knäckebröd- several varieties, Saffran (Saffron), saft (drink concentrate), Marabou choklad (several different varieties), Swedish candy (skumbananer, Zoo), limpa bread and other baked items and MUCH more!

The “Swedish Store” is a fundraiser for the Swedish Heritage Society.  We

  appreciate your support of the in helping us further Swedish culture and traditions

                                      in Utah, like our annual Lucia event.

                             The Swedish store will be open after the Program.
