VÅRSOPPA
“Spring Soup”

This is one of our favorite activities all year and has become a tradition!! Come and enjoy soups (pea soup & nettle soup, just to mention a couple), limpa bread and knäckebröd with cheese, etc. Semlor is the traditional dessert. We will have the tables beautifully decorated with påskris (birch twigs with feathers).
It will be colorful and spring like.

Cost:
Members of SHS
$4/adult, $2/child (12 and under)
Non-Members of SHS:
$6/adult, $4/child

If you can’t stay and enjoy the food and good company, you’re still welcome to come and shop. Our “Swedish Store” will be open from 5:30-6 PM and then again from 7 PM-closing. We will have the following items available:

Kalles kaviar $2.75
påskmust $1.50 (traditional Easter drink)
Swedish candy
Marabou chocolate (several varities)
Cheese Havarti, (Västerbotten-, präst-, herrgård-, hushållsost (Farmer’s cheese), Havarti & getost (Goat’s cheese)
Lingon berries – Felix
Pärondricka (pear flavored drinks)
Knäckebröd (crisp bread, several varieties)
Nyponsoppa (rosehip soup)
Blåbärssoppa (blueberry soup)
Vaniljsås (vanilla sauce – great with apple pie and much more)
Svartvinbärssaft (blackcurrant concentrate)
& more!

We will also have the following baked items for sale
(pre-ordering is recommended):
Limpa bread
Semlor $2.50/each (sweet roll pasty with almond paste and whipped cream)
Småländsk ostkaka (Swedish style cheesecake)
Vaniljbullar $2.50/each (custard-filled sweet rolls)
Wienerbröd $2.25/each (a custard & almond filled Danish)
